Rewind :
From childhood days Cricket was the one thing which used to give me the utmost satisfaction. In school, i used to go and play cricket regulary from garage to parks but all from a cosco or flash ball. Just like many kids, i have also broken many windows while hitting sixes. I was very introvert kid and used to remain quiet all the time in school. Our school didnt have any facility of cricket. But once on a fine sports period, we arranged cricket bats and ball. I was fielding on point and i took a full diving catch on my right, everyone was stunned with what i did there.noone expected that ofcourse from me. After that i also contributed some quickfire runs as a batsman. I never recieved so much compliments in single day. It was overwhelming to hear all that and just ‘Smile’.
After that i played for my friend’s team in his apartment and came out as an hero with my batting efforts. But that was it till 10th class. After that Study became priority. I didn’t play cricket for many years. I found my new love, a girl when i was in college. Yes, i used to watch cricket but never used to play till 4th year. I still wonder why? In the meantime i had heartbreak with things coming to end with my girlfriend. In the meantime we also shifted to new house. Unfortunately, i lost my dad too. There were too many things happening in life.
But when everything was settled down, on one fine night, i found my old bat which was with me from 7th class. And the next day, i took out my elder brother to play cricket with me. And slowly and slowly many people joined us. I didnt lose a touch, i started playing match winning knocks, but i was always a better fielder and i realized i have got even better. I used to be regarded as Jonty Rhodes of my colony. But after that again i got somewhat busy but that was for just few months, and i found some of my friends who were interested in cricket just like me. We started playing cricket in India Gate or in my area too. Friend’s Friends joined us, It was an enjoyable experience.
In Between i played for one club and won a match for them with a cosco ball with my batting.
Things were moving fast, my friends who used to play in India Gate were losing interest because people didnt use to play with that much enthusiasm. I never wanted the same thing to be repeated. There were some excellent team members in the team who used to give 100% efforts.
I took a step, i decided to form a team with my friends. We hired some members for our club who used to play cricket regularly with leather/cricket ball. We contributed money and bought cricket kits.
Present :
Now i am captain of that wonderful bunch of players, we play matches on Sunday. Our team name is *Game Changers*. We have won many matches now . I have played many crucial knock for my team. I will do whatever it takes to take our team to be the best cricket team of Delhi.
